Buttercup is a prime example of Calvin’s comic today. Thing is, lots of people see his flouting of the US Constitution and its safeguards as a great thing. They seem to don’t see that once that standard is destroyed, citizens will have rights guaranteed or protected by law.
The DOJ has every right to “invade” Mar-a-Largo as the local fire department would have if smoke were pouring out the windows.
The GOP believe in Law and Order and anytime police invade a property they insist that they did their homework and that the warrant was carefully constructed and properly issued.
So if warrants are so sacrosanct, why the hub-bub over the DOJ investigating Trump. There is a very large body of evidence that he is or has been involved in criminal activity. I am sure that the warrant was not issued frivolously. At least nobody got shot and killed in the raid.
Watching snippets of Alex Jones’s hearing I was in awe of his pathological lying. I always knew Trump lied whenever it was convenient but I think he is running behind Jones.
Well, that’s the point of “privilege.” (The word itself means “Private Law.”) One law for the rich and famous, another law for the rest of us; usually inapplicable to the former and inescapable to the latter. /s
People are forgetting that #1: No Search warrants would be issued WITHOUT probable Cause, #2: The Head of the FBI was Appointed by TRUMP, and #3: trump signed the law making the illegal theft or retention of classified documents a Felony!

In world history crooked leaders that bring out the worst in people (i.e. Trump and and his supporters) are a common reoccurrence. The U.S. has had its share of this (e.g. Jim Crow, anti-Semitism, etc.) but not to the extent where an entire political party and a strong share of the people debase what American stands for.
Media, this is NOT a political firestorm. This is just the FBI doing its job. Please, GQP and firebird gunner, opspecial, ultra ammosexual, sammy snyder, kat and alfred brown, double down on your defense of the orange idiot; please orange idiot, run again. I relish this fight and seeing you and your clown supporters go down again.
Yup, and other Republicons are finding out the hard way that committing your crimes in the open, doesn’t make them not crimes. Amazing, it’s worked for Orange Criminal for so many decades.
So is he admitting that he is not innocent, or was he lying then or is he lying now? I mean those are just about the only three LOGICAL choices. I am sure some right wing-nut will come back with “But Hillary ….”
After all, taking the Fifth Amendment is essentially an admission of guilt. Why, #45 said so himself, before taking the Fifth multiple times when being deposed under oath…

Trump Disciples admire his tax evasion, massive corruption, his constant LIEs, and his running of a crime family.
They believe it shows strength and how very, very smart he is.
They actually believe he is a Stable Genius.

One resigned and spent the rest of his life attempting to assume the role of an elder statesman.
The other is spending his life attempting to do as much harm as possible to the country.

Trump just took the 5th Amendment in New York.
A man(?) who always says what he means and means what he says.,
“You see the mob takes the Fifth, If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”
“Fifth Amendment. Fifth Amendment. Fifth Amendment. Horrible.”
So is he admitting that he is not innocent, or was he lying then or is he lying now? I mean those are just about the only three LOGICAL choices. I am sure some right wing-nut will come back with “But Hillary ….”
