Don’t worry, Disney made a movie back in 2000 where Tigger had found his family.

I had an uncle who was manic/depressive and when he’d feel a manic episode coming on, he’d say, “Tigger’s trying to come out and start bouncing!” then when he was on hospice for metastatic lung cancer, he’d come up to me when his anxiety started getting bad and ask for a “Tigger pill” (Ativan). My cousin (his daughter) is also M/D, but she goes full on Eeyore… my aunt used to say she felt like Rabbit, stuck in the middle and trying to keep things together without falling apart.

Every time I see the cartoon character of Tigger, I hear ventriloquist Paul Winchell’s voice.

I always find Winnie the Pooh a lot less sad than the Peanuts strip. Tigger is the only one of his kind – but at least the other inhabitants of 100 Acre Wood are relatively kind to him (and the other characters especially Eeyore). Charlie Brown always seems to get overlooked or dismissed by the other people in his world. :(
