I used to read a LOT! But went to Catholic school and none of the books were approved. I was into other mythology a lot and tales of other countries. Then got into SF. The nuns would have vapors if I wrote a report on them. Anyway, I would read Classics Illustrated and do reports on them.
I never had a summer reading list in my district, so I just read what I wished. And I read a lot. Are/were summer reading lists common in schools, and I dodged a bullet?
