This past spring the pollen from everything, particularly from pines and pecans looked like a sandstorm. You could see it blow out of the trees in the wind. It would drift up like snow.
Wow, the bees were busier than usual. Imagine what their hives look like inside. Even a door-to-door Dyson salesman wouldn’t have enough to sell due to supply chain issues
Looks like average normal Georgia spring. Their gonna have to come up with a new scale for us. A pollen count of 300ppm is extreme high, we generally have 30-60 days between 1,500ppm and 2,500ppm.

This is one of those scientific mysteries since yesterday there wasn’t even a single pollen producing tree or flowering plant in sight in the world!

I guess that you could say that this year was sporadic in nature.

It was a lot like that around here. I wonder what happens to all the pollen that doesn’t get “used”? Is it good fertilizer? I would think so. ;)

Pine pollen in the Florida panhandle.

Our Fir trees do that annually, and the stuff sticks like concrete to any damp surface.

My car often turns pine pollen yellow. I got a car once already close to that color. It turned pecan sap black.

I guess there are some advantages to living in the desert SW after all, I don’t even know if I’d be allergic or not.
