Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood morning, Locos! Spent the whole day outside in the heat getting ready to head out. I bought a new electric tongue jack because the old one was failing. Simple job, pop out 3 bolts, cut the power lead from the old unit, slide the new one in, bolt it down, check the torque with a torque wrench and splice in the power lead. Except the new jack had a larger outside diameter so I got to grind out the hole until it fit. A half hour job took an hour and a half.
Hot humid day. I had a plan of where to hike today and an hour into it at 6:30AM it was already warm so I knew the direction that I was going was a mistake. So I changed directions and headed towards the bay. Smart decision as there was a nice slight breeze, but the hike away from the bay towards where I was parked had my shirt clinging to my back. Got in over 10 miles and have been watering since I got home, which has given me another 3 miles, so far.
