Both senators from Texas voted against the veterans. Cornyn is also a POS. He’s just lower keyed about it. I live in Texas and didn’t vote for neither of them. It is frustrating to not be represented.
The Republicans are lying — again — about this. The bill that they approved in June has not changed — nothing has been added — and yet now they refuse to pass it only because it might be considered a win for Democrats.
HOW MANY millions of votes will this cost the Heffalumps in the November election?? Have they considered the effect of pi$$ing off MILLIONS of American Military Veterans, just to “Own the Libs”???? I don’t think so…
Not just Cruz… altho’ as Al Franken said, "You have to understand that I like Ted Cruz probably more than my colleagues like Ted Cruz,” Franken told USA Today, “and I hate Ted Cruz.” Franken has even dedicated an entire chapter to Cruz entitled “Sophistry.”
Bad enough that 40 + Repubs voted against the measures. But them acting like 3rd graders, fist bumping each others because of their opposition to the “Libs” shows how they crave power more than actually helping vets needing medical attention.
Senate Republicans are reversing course on a veterans health care bill, signaling they’ll now help it quickly move to President Joe Biden’s desk after weathering several days of intense criticism for delaying the legislation last week.
Republicans insist their decision to hold up the bill, which expands health care for veterans exposed to toxic substances while on active duty, was unrelated to the deal on party-line legislation that top Democrats struck last week. The GOP blocked the bill hours after Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced an agreement on a health care, climate and tax package — angering Republicans who thought the Democrats-only plan would be much narrower.
Arguing about what is in the bill isn’t the point, actually. It didn’t change substantially in the 20 minutes while McConnell got outfoxed by the Democrats and they passed the bill he objected to. This is just his revenge. Proving again that Republicans will vote against anything good that Democrats might get credit for. They would rather rule a he11 that they have created than live in heaven.
Funny thing is…..here we have another blohard that was NEVER IN THE MILITARY!!!! So why is it that he even gets an opinion, much less a vote,on this subject?
