I’d tell a roof joke but it’s probably over your head, and then I’d be blamed for being shingle-minded…

We just got reroofed this past Thursday. They removed the old two layers and put the new shingles on. Lot’s of noises and hammering and our four came through very well! Nice to know they can handle it as there is more remodeling to come.

Lady Lupin. That might stick.

Appreciating the work the roofers did is fine, but Puck is overdoing it.

And according to Arlo, today is international cat day. Pamper your International Cat Of Mystery.

We are back live!

Interesting that on a Monday we seem to be wrapping something up, but I cannot deny that I love this reminder of the roofers and their adoration. Now I want to go back and see if there were roofing noises in the background last week.

THE ROOF! THE ROOF! THE ROOF IS ALL FIXED! WE DON’T FEAR, THE RAIN NO MORE, BECAUSE IT’S ALL NIXED! WHOOT WHOOT! Sound of pulsating music is heard as every cat, in the Pink House, starts dancing!

We have roofers today..Eddie cat is staying on my lap for comfort..

The robber mice are even excited.

I wish the roofers would finish here.

You never see old roofers or old drywallers. Those are two of the most physically taxing jobs in construction.

I wish I had a roof to redo

Georgia, HOW did you know our house has a brand-new (finished Saturday) roof?

For me, the hammering begins. Years ago, the condos next to me and across from me were combined, one by one, into one giant unit. Now they are being separated into four separate units again. So walls, kitchens, etc. are being put back in. It will be a nightmare. It took a few weeks each time they added a unit, so I imagine separating them all will take months. I’m retired, so I am home most days; it will be the first time I’ll be almost sorry I don’t have a job to go to.

I have been having a thoroughly satisfying summer. That Man created a fenced in area for me in the new backyard. There is a small puddle which after a storm becomes a medium puddle. I have been taking in sun, disliking heat, enjoying light swims. Closer to water naps. Very nice.

It’s been a good hot turtle summer.

I found and bought a Buzzy mouse, …..apparently for myself because Elskede isn’t a fan.

Happy International Cat Day!

I’ll always remember and never take my cuddly black fuzzy bottom for granted…ever… because when he crossed the rainbow bridge…to this day, my heart still aches.

He’s got whisker reading down to a science. Now he needs to work on his lip reading.

Mom Cat and now Lady Kitty. Puck is the only remaining male.

Um, Pucky … do we really want our hearts shingled?
