I live in Missouri, and Hawley is my Senator. More’s the pity.

His power base is outstate, among the poor communities that sympathize with the insurrectionists that attacked our democracy on January 6th and those who tried to keep trump in power. The people who support Hawley decry “elites” but turn around and support someone who has had life and station handed to him on a silver platter.

Josh-Boy is the privileged son of a Missouri banker. He went to private prep schools and then to Stanford and joined the Stanford Review, a right-wing student publication. When examined, you can see that Hawley’s identity is as a Christian Nationalist a group dedicated to remaking the United States into a Christian Theocracy, where freedoms are curtailed, and women and minorities have limited, if any, rights.

I would like to believe that the image of a Missouri Senator running like a frightened coward after stirring up the rioters would register with these people, and they would not return him to power when he runs in 2024. However, the truth of the matter is that Josh-Boy is precisely the kind of Senator these people value.

When it comes down to it they’re all cowards….they know it too! They’re so far into the lie if they back down now, their narcissistic egos will be bruised…..
