So many things that don’t make sense in this one.

Diplomacy leaning on shovel (i.e., not really “at work”).

I would think it’s the opposite. — Put down the toilet seat for the women. I live alone, so mine is up.

Lifting and lowering the seat IS being a better boyfriend.

At certain times of the year, the setting sun shines brightly straight into my bathroom; when I flush with the lid open and the seat down (or up), the light makes the very high plume of droplets disconcertingly visible.

Another thing the sunlight reveals is all the fibers that explode off “soft”-branded bathroom tissue (and maybe into my nose) when I tear off a sheet.

Seat up? Seat down? Why can’t adults make up their minds!

Very important indeed….

I have a rule in our house – that the seat cover has to be put down after use also.

Sounds too demanding?

We have VERY small bathrooms. Our toilet bowls are IMMEDIATELY adjacent to our sinks – almost overlapped by them. I got tired of fishing his hair brush – as well as other things which are grosser for this to happen to happen to – out of the toilet bowl (or have to replace them)!! I then had to clean the item and sanitize it with a lot of alcohol or bleach. And it was ALWAYS something of his that fell in.

Plus this stops the spray of particles/droplets into the air when the bowl is flushed.
