Lewy Body Dementia ultimately killed my older brother in 2014, so when I read about Williams having Lewy Body Dementia. I fully understood his decision to check out early. I’m just sorry that he had to do so by hanging himself.
I was never one to get giddy about or look up to or fawn over stars or famous people of any type, but Robins death affected me in such a profound way, it really took me by surprise the affect it had on me. I couldn’t even watch any of his work for a couple years. He was a great talent to be sure, but it was his raw humanity and compassion that grabbed hold of my heart and soul, not his comic genius. Rest In Peace, Robin, Rest in Peace. I hope to see you again sometime.
