The more correct plural of scarf is “scarves.”

My nephew makes a living selling his knit scarves on the internet. I find it hard to believe.

Didn’t Rosie Grier knit? I think it’s how he spent his time on airplanes while in the NFL.And, do we need to mention British Olympic gold medal winner in diving, Tom Daley, who knits for Made With Love? I think not.

My grandmother was a great knitter. I gave her 200 pounds of steel wool once and she knitted me a stove.

I learned how to knit decades ago, but fell out of the habit and forgot how. I wish I could remember.

My Granny taught me to both knit & crochet when I was younger than Nelson. I have, alas, long forgotten both.

Whats wrong with men or boys knitting? If memory serves, one of the old LA Rams Fearsome Foursome- Defensive Lineman Roosevelt Grier either knit or crochet in both college and the NFL. My Great Aunt taught me how to crochet when I was 6, helped my hand to eye coordination as I was a really clumsy boy. Knitting , at least to me, is good exercise for my fingers, helps control the pain from the arthritis in my hands

Ah how sweet. Opal is having Nelson get in touch with his feminine side.

Some surgeons do needlepoint to hone up their stitching skills. That isn’t inappropriate. Needlework can be relaxing, and that includes knitting and crocheting. Plus, as timbob2313 says, it can help to strengthen hands and help with arthritis.

Believe me, those scarves on the street probably come from China.

Back in the early 80’s I knew a guy who knitted custom sweaters and sold them for as much as $500.

That’s quite an incentive to do well in school.

I have a nephew who knits. He also wears skirts from time to time. Or a skort. He has a gf, long hair and a beard. Glasses like John Lennon, too. He makes jewelry and he’s quite talented. He’s a super nice guy, though. Just weird. His younger brother just decided he’s no longer using his given name but MUST be referred to as Hazel. He’s a pronoun nazi, too. You should see the look that accompanies his stern correction if you don’t refer to him as “they”. He’s also weird, but unlike his brother, he’s an a-hole. Moral of the story: Weird is fine, being an A-hole is not.
