There’s a great gulf fixed between observing and participating!

A real-life version of changing the channel is becoming transgender.

That right there is why lies work so well for so many people. The lies sure beat the unyielding and uncaring truth.

Honbes sure knows how to bring down the difference between real time and prime time tv.

Panel one sums up what he thinks about the real world, and his on-going problem accepting it!!!

Everybody’s a critic. But not everybody expresses their criticism with a kick in the butt.

Even if Calvin’s theory makes no sense.

Hobbes is so good at demonstrating the logical consequences of BS

Calvin (walking through the woods with Hobbes): “I tripped a kid yesterday and he fell in the mud! It was hilarious!”

Hobbes (after tripping Calvin and causing him to fall in the mud): “I dunno, that kind of humor is so broad…”

Once again, Calvin’s name – and appearance – is mud.

It could be argued that life is a farce.

Extemporaneous experience is not something Cal appreciates.

I have to agree with Calvin. Real experiences are “nasty disturbing uncomfortable things” that make you late for dinner. Though in truth, I had to quit watching TikTok for the same reason.

Basically the same reason people like the world wide web. You can filter out any inconvenient things you don’t like.

Oh, what a lot of possibilities a click in the back can bring.

Maybe he is a Calvinist?

In the years following, Calvin found that the TV was NOT what he thought it was, and went on to bigger and better, more advanced technology……..the internet….

TV lets us experience the world without having to check if its real or not.
