Wealth inequality and business concentration are the biggest causes of inflation.

    Republican ideals, both.

These are all good except for the Ukrainian war one. I understand they may our allies but as this cartoon depicts, we have enough of our own problems to worry about! And when Obama was president during the Iraqi war, the United States spent over TEN BILLION DOLLARS a month to finance it!! Can you imagine how just A THIRD of that could have aided the U.S.??

It’s a big and complicated system and that’s a tiny hammer. But it DOES — sort of — influence inflation behavior. The trickiest bit is to use it BEFORE you need it, and then WAIT despite people yelling at you for doing it wrong…

There’s a couple of gears in there that should say “price gouging” and “corporate welfare”

Put the hammer down, reach in there with your hand, it’ll be ok, and just give it a little yank.

Then jump out the way real fast.

The talking heads on the business channels saying, “they HAVE to raise rates by .75 or they will loose what’s left of their integrity”. So the Fed raised rates .75. than the talking heads say, “OH MY GOD!!! The Fed is hellbent on bringing on a recession!”

Democrats are reverting to type – founding a neo- Old South. California is the new South Carolina. Add, Oregon, Washington state and Hawaii to complete the set. New York state and the New England states are the new border states like Delaware, Missouri, Kentucky, and Maryland were. The old south possessed a small extremely wealthy class, a tiny middle class, involuntary servitude and large numbers of whites and free blacks in poverty. The cotton plantation owners and cotton trade factors such as Lehman Brothers, made up the wealthy class. The small middle class included doctors, lawyers, larger shop owners and a few others that catered to the wealthy. Involuntary servitude labor depressed the wages of most others. Now, oligarch donors understand that hiring cheap labor is more cost effective than involuntary servitude . Involuntary servitude workers only work enough to keep from being punished and must be cared for. Peons are cheaper. California’s oligarch class are mostly in IT, show business and a few industries. Lawyers and doctors, who cater to the aforementioned, form the upper middle class. The wealthy oligarchs use imported labor to depress IT wages at one end and unskilled labor to keep their mansions and well-manicured lawns – mimicking involuntary servitude of old. Which depresses the wages of a dwindling middle class. Add, rising taxes and the middle class becomes poor or leaves the state.
