I remember doing Lincoln – Douglas type debates, when I was in Jr. High School. They had rules of conduct and presentation. Ask any High School or collage student or even an American politician. And they wouldn’t know what you were talking about.
I really thought that trump was going to physically attack Hillary during their second “debate”. I still don’t know why the moderator didn’t tell him to stay on his side.
