The other thing I need is something that condenses a 10,000 word article down to 100 words. Sometimes there is a really important issue I should read up on and I feel guilty about not reading the whole article, but I don’t have time.

Apparently he didn’t come across anything that described what the Internet is. It’s a lot more than just the Web which people access with their browsers.

As long as I can still get my comix fix on line, go ahead and kill the internet. I wonder what’ll happen to all those millennials who cannot function without the internet.

Am I wrong to appreciate the entertainment value in watching people who play stupid games win stupid prizes? I know I’m going to hell, but I’d like to go there laughing.

Too late! The Internet surrounds the Cyber World, and we are but (3 billion?) Little Phishies caught in it.

But, what about the people who might buy it? Wouldn’t they see a reduction in tension and have more time to enjoy what is around them? Newspapers could go back to printing good, solid local, national, and international information in sensible language and without emoji’s and other slop. People might take time to read and absorb instead of scanning then racing to add their shallow opinions to the internet that cares only for their numbers but not their welfare. Could be a good thing for many.

The developers of the internet envisioned it furthering education and science as the flow of facts became unhindered…. The developers of the internet forgot that any idea developed for the common good immediately has people abusing it for their own ends.

At first I liked the internet, because I could find out whether a study might be useful without spending a half hour at the library finding the journal, but with social media & selfies I’ve decided it was a far better world before the internet.

Pretty sure the internet is only a little over 50% idiocy. And the people who like idiocy won’t uze the app, so even that part will still thrive. This will be convenient for a few people and otherwize not change anything.

Just imagine how much more difficult it would be to send pictures of our meals to everyone we know. On the plus side, the occurrence of neck and spine related medical issues would plummet.

The app idea is commendable, but the complications would be too much for any filtering. Consequently, what you’re trying to eliminate would be “backed up.”

True enough, got along fine without it for decades. Oh, but wait, does the idiocy filter also filter out [banned word] naughty pictures and such? The internet would stay afloat on [salacious material] alone, especially if you include the “dating” and “hook up” sites and aps.
