If all the newspapers die, would Big Nate continue but only on GoComics? I would hope so… Though realistically speaking, the comic might actually die as well, and the show would end up being the main focus, which is OK as long as the show improves and hopefully becomes more widely appealing.
Newspapers have existed for over 200 years, and they have had many challenges to deal with, like radio and television. Newspapers will never truly die, but they will be in less demand. And it’s not their fault you couldn’t listen to their criticism properly.
2.5/10 Terrible arc, because Nate has his standards way too high. If this was a school newspaper office, it would be understandable.
Its way too late to ask this, but if Nate’s comics are good amd acceptable CAN he publish it in this world’s newspaper? He’s only 11, will the publisher accept it?
The Chicago Tribune provides the daily Jumble for free at their website, if anyone didn’t know and likes to do them. I don’t know what would happen to them if the Chicago Tribune goes under, though.
I buy a newspaper for the local news, national news, sports and comics. Gocomics has most of the comics I’ve liked in the local papers and then some. A lot of the sports I can get on ESPN and Yahoo but they don’t compare to what I get at the Chronicle. I can get all the national and international news online, but only the local paper covers the local news. So, I’ll continue subscribing to the SF paper as long as it remains within my budget.

I used to love doing the Jumble in the NY Daily News. I don’t have one where I live now.
