You may like to use GC helper (Coded by Neil Wick who posts on Dick Tracy) to help with the un-nesting of replies to Comments, and also the loading of links/pictures etc. so you don’t have to copy/paste each one seperately into the address bar to view. Neither of these happen automatically due to the changes made to the page coding some time ago.

Save Strip allows you to right click on the strip and “Save As”. to save the strip to your computer, the current formatting of the site disables the “Save Image” function in the ‘Right-Click’ menu.
GC Helper will work on all GC comics, not just this one..
To get text formatted on seperate lines like this you have to strike the “Return” key Twice! to create the line break, not once.
A week ago today my Very Good Boy Gibbs went over the Rainbow Bridge. He was diagnosed with lymphoma on 1 June. I got to have another 3 weeks with him. It’s so strange not to have him right here with me. I keep expecting him to come and push his nose up under my elbow, or at 3:30 sit and stare at me till I get up to feed him, or pull up to my mailbox across the street and hear him barking from the front room window, come in the house and jump up on me and give me a hug and a big wet kiss. I can eat Goldfish Crackers without him gazing at me waiting for me to toss him one. But now he won’t be terrified by the fireworks going off for the next week. My house is very quiet now. Twig doesn’t make much noise, till 5:30 am and she sits in the hall meowing at me till I get up and feed her. Treasure your pets. Unconditional love. XOX :’(
Yes, the time is near for all the noise that terrify my cats. I have CBD, noise generators and other distractions, but they still will be hiding and running..all terrified. Same every year. Yet all those fireworks are illegal? Not enough folks to enforce existing laws..so it goes on unabated. All you can do is be with your cats..talk to them, play music. If only…….
The roofer just told me that today his crew will finish the job (today is Day #3) of repairing/replaying rotted wood, scraping, painting and applying stucco around 3rd floor windows, sealing around/under eves to prevent more nesting birds (luckily none were in residence or nesting) and then removing the scaffolding 3 stories high from my back porch.
I know how @LastRoseOfSummer1 feels. @laughingkitty too.
Very funny. XD Must be a catbird. On another note, saw a chipmunk, a sparrow, two robins, a rabbit, a Wilson’s warbler, and a junco while out walking today.

My pets were never really freaked out by fireworks…and we have plenty going off all around as usual. Play your radio/TV a bit louder to distract them.
I watch telecasts of Capital Fourth in DC and/or Boston Pops. I can hear and see the glow from the NYC fireworks celebration.
Hoping you all enjoy our Independence Day celebrations safely.
