The “open border” myth has nothing to do with this disaster. The truck crossed into Texas from Mexico and passed successfully (apparently unchallenged) through several inspection stations on its way to San Antonio. How much effort would it have been for the inspectors to look inside the trailer???

Not even close. I’ll be shocked if that 18 wheeler was ever close to the border. I’m expecting they will find it picked up its load somewhere north of the border, outside of a town, and then made its way up I35. All of this north of the border and past the US Customs & Border Checkpoints.
Donald Trump is not the POTUS and never will be again. It’s laughably ill informed not to know the enticements offered by Biden Administration for desperate migrants. People don’t start walking to a country w no expectation of admission. 53 human beings responded to Biden’s voter registration drive and the main stream media is starting to notice. It’s hard to ignore.
If there was an open border policy, there would be no need to smuggle yourself in via a semitruck. So either people are coming across the border in the back of trucks, or there’s an open border policy, but both can’t exist at the same time.
