The Disciples greatly admire Their Messiah for all his actions on 1/6, especially his attempt to invade the Capitol with an armed mob — a violent attempt to overthrow the government of the United States.

It is not just Trump that is the problem, it is the millions of His Disciples who believe he should have succeeded in his effort.

Oh please. We could easily replace “Trump” with “antifa” and “January 6th” with “2016-2021”.

One, its not a trail, 2 is not even an investigation, 3 you better hope this kind of thing doesn’t become how we determine anyone guilty of anything . If they dont allowed cross examination, other witnesses and if they dont investigate ALL facts like why was an unarmed protester shot in the neck and killed, and the failures in security. The testimony yesterday not only was just hearsay was full of wholes, many things she described happen in that vehicle are physically impossible. And the actual secret service agent that this was supposed to happen to wants to testify but they wont call him … wonder why

The “man” is a pig – I simply cannot understand how any rational person could possibly support him. It says a lot about the Maggots, none of it good.

This is precisely the kind of behavior I would expect from a person with trump’s mental illness; narcissistic personality disorder, paranoia, and probably after the lost election – delusional disorder and dementia.

In trump’s mind, he deserves all the grandeur and adulation he receives and more. He’s never wrong, only those around him are incorrect or insufficiently loyal. We have seen this since day one of trump’s campaign and rise to power. My question is, how so many others in trump world can go along with, and make excuses for the behavior?

Those in the periphery saw the tantrums, saw the violence, and did nothing. They saw the insanity and turned their heads. Even after the stinging testimony at yesterday’s hearing, people are making excuses for that evil, sick person. Furthermore, there are many people who would/will vote for this hot-mess of a man-child again if given the opportunity; their sad dependency on the illusion of trump as competent is another matter, for another post.

Trump needs to be prosecuted for his role in the January 6th attempted coup, if for no other reason than it will keep him off the ballot in 2024. This country has enough problems and challenges. The only thing cognizant people are sure of is trump isn’t the answer to any of them.

Let’s put The Orange Menance’s lunacy in perspective, shall we?

While being driven to a safe location by the Secret Service detail in “the beast” he had a meltdown, assaulted the driver, and tried to grab the steering wheel.

Can anyone else recall such lunacy at any time? The only time I can recall it in either fact or fiction (and it doesn’t even really compare to that level) was when Hunter S. Thompson and his Samoan lawyer were going cross country in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. And DJT sounded much more out of control than that. Y’all got to admit that the episode in “the beast” is even more chaotic than that. The Mango Maniac managed to even outdo Hunter S. Thompson on LSD.

And the Pogue Reich still wants him back as resident and sitting on a golden crapper in the WH.

Now that really is a scary thought, ain’t it? Y’all consider that when y’all go to the polls to vote. That is, if they’ll let y’all vote.

The reality of Trump and his sycophants’ complicity was not lost on Historian Michael Beschloss.

“Mark Meadows, this is not just one of these people off the street plotting against our democracy,” Beschloss said. “We’ve seen people like Mark Meadows in world history. And we saw them in the bunker of Berlin in Adolf Hitler’s last days. We saw them around Benito Mussolini before he was hanged in a gas station in Milan. There are people who are accessories to terrible authoritarian leaders who do extremely terrible things.”

Beschloss then went after the former president.

“But the main thing today, from my point of view, is you will remember, and everyone will remember that from January 6th on, Trump and his accessories claimed that this was just a spontaneous demonstration and these angry people were indignant about an election that had supposedly been stolen, which it wasn’t, and went up to Capitol Hill,” Beschloss said. “Some even described them as tourists; as of today, irrevocably, it is very clear and very concrete, that this was a president who led a coup d’état and an insurrection against the people of the United States. He did it from the Oval Office and was abetted by people like Mark Meadows and others. And our job now is, let us find out exactly who the plotters were and bring them to justice. But above and beyond all that, make sure that we pass new laws to make sure that an atrocity like this never happens in our country again. It almost succeeded. We almost lost our democracy.”

So many RWNJs on a not rightwing cartoon complaining about it. When I make a negative comment on a rightwing cartoon they tell me, “If you don’t like it don’t come here.” More “Do as I say, not as I do.” from the farright.
