Is Julian Assange dead? No. And that’s his martyrdom. If his cause is so great, he should accept his incarceration as furthering that cause. Modern Western Martyrdom isn’t as horrible as real martyrdom used to be. His Gethsemane night goes on and on, ignobly. He would pleadingly prefer to give in to The Last Temptation Of Assange.
It’s not what you do, it’s how you do it. You can’t do the right thing the wrong way. Assange was wrong. The 6 JAN folks were wrong. The guy who blows up an abortion clinic was wrong.
No matter how right you think you are, if you break the law you had better be prepared to pay the consequences. I’m not saying the law is always right. But it is still the law. You break it, you’re going down.
Ah, the guy convicted for the war crimes that were reported is doing life in military prison without parole….? I’m pretty sure military prison isn’t the cushy apartment lifestyle depicted here

Media Lens has an article on the extradition of Julian Assange. As always with Media Lens, it’s thoroughly researched with links.

I’m a retired military officer, one who came up through the ranks. And when I see something like this….I can’t argue with it one little bit. Sigh….

Just to clarify, the term “war CRIMES” suggests that those acts were against the law.
