I love the dust bunnies’ wings – leaves from different kinds of trees!

(I don’t see Aspen leaves, though – it’s inescapable around here.)

Elvis must have rolled highest in the order. (Translation: “roll for initiative” means you’ve just gotten into a fight and need to sort out whose turn it is first, next, and last. Everyone rolls a d20, including the DM, who’s playing the enemies/monsters/opponents. Highest roller goes first, then counting down to whoever rolls lowest. 20 is high, 1 low. As with many things, getting a jump on your opponents helps!)

Incidentally, the costume of big floppy hat, cloak, and staff is exactly what Odin used to wear when he travelled among mortals.

Our fearless band of travelers were set upon by savage Dust Bunnies, minions of the demon known as Azthma. As they struggled for breath, their Cleric brought forth his most potent weapon, the Holy Inhaler, smote the bunnies into submission, and the travelers heaved a sigh of relief …

But a word of comfort for our heroes. If there are dust bunnies, there is probably no vacuum cleaner in the cavern.

I love bats, but they’re the absolute worst kind of enemy in RPGs. They (and their dust bunny counterparts) only exist to annoy, LOL.

I first read that as “it’s like casting sparkles” and thought of a glitter bomb. Now I see it say sparklers. I wonder if the sizzling light will scare the dust bunnies away?

I’m surprised that Goldie is still carrying Lupin.

The Flock of Seagulls song is fantastic because that’s basically what I do as a bard. Who knows, maybe dust bunnies are vulnerable to light since they are usually found in low light areas under or behind things? As VM, Violet must think of what happens if Elvis rolls low or high. This is just awesome!

Elvis-Anum: We think we have most of it down, but aren’t sure what should be the penalty for the last piece on the board.

Lupinium: I think the winner should be allowed to take the piece and bat it all across the floor until it ends up under the furniture. Then the loser has to retrieve it and brave the dust bunnies.

Elvis-Anum: No, the winner should have a song made in his or her honor.

Georgia, we are loving this one! Reminds us both of long-ago days :) He played in a real tabletop RPG, and I did online :)

My D & D group stopped playing during the pandemic. We need to start again! If I were a meese I would do a monumental poof.

OT. It’s Starlord’s 1st birthday today!! He even has a visitor. My grandkitty Milo will be staying with us for a couple weeks while my daughter gets moved and settled into her new apartment. After she signed the papers they informed her she can only have the cat if a doctor signs an emotional support form. Her dr appointment is Tuesday.

This is highly inaccurate. How many cats would go through hours of setting up before actually playing?

OT: Georgia posted this yesterday with a picture of Elvis looking at her adoringly: “We just returned from a trip home to RI, the first since 2019! Look at Elvis looking at me, I love this sweet guy so much. I feel so lucky to have the love of this beautiful grumpy bitey beast. Yesterday I pretty much just rested from traveling and soaked in cuddles from the cats. Many thanks to our dear friend who watched over Elvis, Puck, Goldie, Iggy, Ora Zella, our rats Jake and Olly, and our goldfish Hiro, Pearl, and Solid. They often prefer privacy, so I’m keep them anonymous, but thank them in gratitude!”

Elvis did the right thing. Dust bunnies are highly susceptible to static and sparks. As jameskronson2 said, could be explosions, or could make them all clump together, push them away, or make them fall to the floor.

I’d think against dustbunnies that Prestifluffitation would be particularly effective!
