Monk’s brother Ambrose was a professional “instruction book writer”.
Instructions with words are now obsolete; the only ones I’ve seen lately are all in pictures…. The mark of a functional illiterate culture, or so it seems.

Do they even have instruction manuals anymore? I don’t know how many times I’ve wanted one but couldn’t find it.
Instruction manuals are merely the manufacturer’s opinion of how things should be done.
