Agreed! He must be insane…or that was the only thing left! Strawberries can’t cover up the taste of rhubarb, no matter how many you add!

Loved my Mum’s apple crumble as a kid, then she’d sneak in a rhubarb crumble, Oh! The disappointment……..

But who in their right mind prepares a rhubarb pie in the first place?!

Never tasted rhubarb and, from what I hear, I haven’t missed a thing.

Well, there was no Texas yet, so no Texans, so rhubarb pie had yet to be made!!

a rhubarb custard pie done right (like my grandma’s and now my wife’s using my grandma’s recipe) is absolutely awesome. mature developed tastebuds love the tartness and sweetness mix, and with a cup of jo, BLACK is the perfect treat for any time. js

I have very fond memories of rhubarb, both raw and in pie. Strangely though, I only had it when I was a young lad…

I like rhubarb. It does have a distinctive taste. I can see how many people wouldn’t like it. I can’t stand cilantro.

One more vote for the deliciousness of rhubarb pie! (I will stipulate that the custard plays a greater part in the deliciousness than the rhubarb itself, but the custard never got prepared in my house except for rhubarb pie.)

Food is food!! We may be there ourselves one of these days!

My dad — he actually GREW Rhubarb.

My daddy. He loved rhubarb pie.

When my father was a lad (late nineteenth century) it was called “pie plant”.   Mom grew pie plant, but made most of it into pink lemonade, which she called “rhubarb juice”.

I adore an inch of stalk put into a blender with a pint of cold water.

Looking up what rhubarb is supposed to taste like, it sounds horrible. I don’t want anything tart or sour in my pie.
