Assuming 45 watts for the TV, it will burn about 154,772 calories for the 4 hrs. For the man? About 180/200 calories for the same 4 hrs.

Reminds me of when my husband fell asleep watching some sports match or other. When I turned off the TV, he jerked awake and yelled, HEY! I WAS WATCHING THAT!

Zero calories. This matches my interest in watching the sport.

I do appreciate the skill and athleticism that goes into the sport, but it does not interest me.

Considering that males usually consume snacks while watching sports, we can assume that he burns a total of ZERO calories. His caloric input is greater than his caloric output, thus he adds weight.

It all works out. He gets his exercise by proxy, the athletes get their diabetes, high blood pressure and “trick knee” by proxy.
