I overheard that riddle and others concerning the anatomy in question many years ago when I was a teenager. And they were passed along mainly by huddled groups of giggling teenage girls in school lunchrooms and at slumber parties. Do “dirty old broads” still repeat them at their get-togethers?
So there is a “right” answer and an “unimportant” body part? No wonder so many guys end up enduring undiagnosed “embarrassing” illnesses… Never trust an uptight doctor!
Seems to me that both answers are equally valid — but it could also suggest that those who chose the “wrong” answer were a little too focused on that part of the male anatomy, and as a result their studies suffered.

That reminds me of a joke. I would get banned if I repeated it here.

Hey, as that “body part” can’t expel waste when erect, I would say it’s more useful when not erect… ☺

Those who answered SPINE are Orthopedic Surgeons today.
The rest are Urologists.
