Meanwhile, elsewhere, Mike is planting the seeds for an upcoming story, apparently. Is this somebody new to the strip? I hope so. I can’t remember ever seeing him before. My guess is that he’s not a villain.

His left arm doesn’t look right in the second panel, but I can’t quite place what is wrong with it. It looks like he has a very old car in his garage. It almost looks like it has fins.

set-up for the next storyline?

“This man begins his whistling in the garage. Why, who knows?”

That dude’s got Little Orphan Annie’s white-eyed stare. Wonder if he’s related.

The man is happy because he is in his domain. Women rule the house and the garage is our playground.

I agree that we are too early on this story to start getting signals for the next one. I would love to see this seemingly random occurrence tie into the Memory tale.

From yesterday:

One, it looks official, Memory is a super-villain with (implanted) super-powers. If only we had a bat in our belfry (apologies to Jack Nicholson).

Two, one can argue about whether last week’s description of Memory was a fat joke, but you guys have more than made up for it if it wasn’t.

Well, today’s strip certainly brought the narrative momentum (such as it was) to a screeching halt.

Looks like he’s from the Little orphan Annie stable, what with those eyes……

Lots of suspense in the strip lately!

Pretty sure this is still Sunny Dell Acres, somewheres….

I hear Kim Carnes singing “He’s got Orphan Annie eyes…”

Look at the change in the word balloon from panel 2 to panel 3. Panel 2 has a balloon with a standard musical note and a standard tail, while the note in panel 3 is “swiggily” and so is the tail. There was definitely a change in the man’s emotions.

Oh good God it looks like “ANNIE TIME” again….those telltale eyes……

Unusual garage doors in panel one. They pull open instead of raise up. More like a barn door.

Is he drawn in a different style, like Gasoline Alley?

Just whistle while you work…and what is up with all those boxes?

If they belong to Mr. Memory…UPS, Fed Ex and Amazon are grateful for his patronage.

I wonder who the owner of that car is…Memory was shown driving an SUV type of vehicle.

Yeti’s found a new cut cut cut-rate hideout behind the crate in the corner, and it comes complete with spiders.

from the point of view we have, the car does look like something from the sixities.

There is a change of pace pitch in baseball and this is a change of pace in Comics!

Has anyone else noticed that he has Lil Orphan Annie eyes? I believe I’m the first…

1-A beautiful blue fills the sky above this lonely, country cottage…

2-But it goes unnoticed by Blind Bill as he inexplicably turns on the lights…

3-in his garage

BLIND BILL: I CAN SEE! IT’S FRICKIN’ MIRACLE! Wait…why do I have a bicycle? And a car? And a broom in my hand?!?! I thought it was my white-tipped cane! That skeleton in the corner…could that be Mabel??? I thought she ran off with that door-to-door salesman years ago! Guess that explains the smell I noticed in here round about 2010…

Somehow this strip reminds me of lyrics from a Pete Seeger song:

Before,Toby married to wealthy Kress Kroywen,had a baby byhim.No mention of the kid since 1940.

Wherever he is now,would be big improvement over those two jailbird nephews.
