This particular strip ending has always irked me. Lacey admits she needs to resign. Joanie seems to gaslight her by asking that question since she has been pushing for her to resign.

Getting old can be bad but is still better for the alternative.

This is sad to see, but c’est la vie.

Yesterday it was implied that the phone call was a trick, but now both of them are taking it seriously. No big, that just strikes me as kind of odd. Shrug.
