My Dad’s first job off the farm in 1947 was as a pin setter. There were no automated ball returns or pinsetters until 1956 when introduced by Brunswick. Otherwise this is still pretty funny.
Just in case some younger readers don’t recognize them, they are The Three Stooges; i.e., Moe, Larry and Curley who famously made a habit of poking their fingers in one another’s eyes.
I liked the Stooges and still see them on TV occasionally. If I remember correctly, it was Larry, Shemp and Moe as the original cast, then Shemp was replaced by Curly.
After Curly suffered a stroke, Joe and Curly Joe came in. I never warmed up to either’s characters.
