I wonder how many abortions followed. You know the ones ignored by the " clergy."

    It all makes sense now!

The real reason Catholics and Southern Baptists are so adamant in their opposition to abortion!

Samuel Alito (conservative Catholic) spelled it all out in his draft opinion … there is a supply chain shortage in the “domestic supply of infants”!

Alito suggests that this is about turning poor women who can’t afford to travel to places where abortions are easily obtained into brood mares to produce babies to be adopted by their own “highborn” elites.

But the rampant sex scandals and cover-up among Catholic and Southern Baptist clergy make it clear that this is their way of HUMAN TRAFFICKING — providing a “domestic supply” of future sex abuse victims!

Stop government subsidizing religious organizations. Tax religious organizations the same as any other business.

Oh CJ! The perfect toon today! So timely, so perfectly skewering the hypocrisy of the So Self Righteous SBC! Perfect captions and wonderful art: the whistling preacher just “takin’ care of business”, all the animals, alligator, frog, squirrel, the clam with eyes, turtle, duck, fish, snail, beaver, rabbit, and my faves, the dinosaur and the periscope. You had a great time drawing this…

Everyone has been blaming Catholics for years for sex abuse, now they should realize that the problem is in every religion. Some of the loudest complainers are those who abuse the most.

The SBC situation with child sexual molestation coverup is indeed shocking. My ordination is still held by this denomination. But, what’s different about this travesty and that of the Roman Catholics is hierarchy. The Roman Catholic leadership did move priests guilty of molestation to other churches thus covering up their problem. But the SBC, Southern Baptist Convention, has no authority to move anyone anywhere. In the SBC, all authority is held by the member churches themselves.

The Convention is an organization of churches who agree to largely abide by the guidelines set out by those voting members of said convention. But, this doesn’t always occur strictly. Years ago, the SBC declared that women should not be allowed to pastor churches. But, that didn’t stop many churches from ordaining and calling female pastors to serve in their churches. I served one church for almost 9 years and finished there with a female pastor.

So, the ability of the SBC to discipline its ministers is totally without foundation. Then a coverup by the SBC is impossible. Take ordination. As I said, my ordination is held by a church that is a member of the SBC. Should that church wish to pull my ordination, they can do so. But, the SBC cannot do so.

One has to ask Alito what happens to the babies deemed unfit to be adopted. There was a case in Canada that occurred from 1920 to 1940. It was a case of selling babies for adoption, by operating a home for unwed mothers. The babies deemed good were adopted. The ones deemed inferior were allowed to die in a couple of days. The case is called the Butterbox Babies. Look it up.

Am I the only one looking for all the animals in this one? Snail, frog, fish, duck, alligator, snake, clam, turtle, beaver, bunny, blue bird, squirrel, and last be certainly not least Loch Ness. I’m not sure about the little yellow thing in the water to the top left.

Southern Baptists are taking a hit on sexual abuse,, like the Catholics have had recently.I think all forms of abuse may be more prevalent in the smaller and independent churches and denominations that have no church hierarchy or any oversight.
