At this point I can’t even imagine a Republican strategy that I’d support. Because they’ve put the screws to the people over and over and over… (20 times at least) and over. And about 1% of the time they do something that’s not TOO bad.
The Founders intended for voters to choose their representatives.
In the age of computerized program house-by-house calculations that fine-tune gerrymandering to a science, representatives choose their voters.
Some states (including my state of California) have now outlawed gerrymandering, with districts chosen by an independent commission made up of non-political professionals appointed by Democrats, Republicans and independents that are prohibited from using or considering voter registrations and required to adhere to operationally-defined standards of compactness.
With a few notable exceptions, most of the states that have outlawed gerrymandering are “blue” Democratic states, which unfairly inhibits the ability of Democrats to draw favorable districts in some key large states, while none of the large Republican states have done so.
What we need is a federal election reform statute that eliminates gerrymandering and applies equally in all states, under the enumerated
Uteri are not the only things threatened by gerrymandering. And anyone who knew it was bad back in the 1950s has no idea just how bad it can get in the modern age of high-speed computers and massive databases on political preferences.
It doesn’t matter what the political area is. The GOPQ with continual support of SCOTUS knows no boundaries.
Now the Fascist 5 and their Chief are opposed to the protection of a historically basic right in our Constitution. The right to adequate counsel which is an important part of our foundation.
I’d like to see us chose the president by popular vote no electoral college, absolutely no lifetime government positions, increase the number of Supreme Court justices (since they won’t write their own code of conduct, the legislative branch must). This is not the country in which the forefathers lived. Senate seats need to reflect where the most citizens live. I’m sure there are other changes necessary to reflect the 21st century.

Just a gentle reminder not to feed the trolls. If we starve them of the nourishment they so crave, they may wither and go away.
