Finland fought a war against Stalin and Soviet Union in 1939-40, when the Russian invaded them on the pretext of protecting themselves from Hitler’s Germany (with which they had already signed a notorious peace treaty), ultimately seizing the Karalia Peninsula and annexing it to the Soviet Union. So the Finns know all too well how dangerous and deceitful the Russians are, whoever is in charge in Moscow.
