The problem with “Ultra MAGA” is that going past MAGA makes you even more obviously whacko, ever more likely to act in a way that’s bad for you, your kin-group and friends and of course your (or at least our ) country. Ultra smart, ultra sexy, ultra knowledgeable… arguably good things. Ultra stupid, ultra crazy, ultra MAGA… not so much.
It’s a typical Republican rally. Republicans, their sycophants/apologists and the Republican owned servants ( especially the ones who post here ) do not give a damn about anything that does not benefit them!
Not that it will make a difference but Faux’ pushing of the replacement bull bleep is believed to have influenced gunmen in several mass shootings now including the latest in Buffalo.
Ten people were murdered in Buffalo, NY, yesterday while shopping for groceries. They were targeted because of the color of their skin. The racist pulling the trigger at the market on Saturday is 18 years old.
When he was 13, he heard the President of the United States say that there were “…very fine people on both sides” at a “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, where a clansman ran down a young woman.
When Saturday’s gunman was 15 years old, another racist was charged with killing 22 people and injuring 26 others in an El Paso, Texas, Walmart in 2019. The gunman, in this case, posted an online document that referred to a “Hispanic invasion of Texas.”
When Saturday’s gunman was 17 years old, Tucker Carlson did shows about White Replacement Theory on his Fox News show. Furthermore, Carlson is far from the only Fox personality to stoke white rage.
The Gunman, now 18, left a 180-page manifesto where he claims, among other things, that White Replacement is one of the factors that made him want to kill people because of the color of their skin.
A significant portion of the Right and Right-Wing Media is stoking white rage and hate to gain wealth and power. The byproduct of this hate is the triggering of angry, white young men who act on this inflammatory rhetoric. The bottom line is that there are at least ten families in Buffalo today whose world will never be the same because of one 18-year-old man who could acquire an assault rifle and who listened to the hate.
Clay, I feel for you man. Went through all the comments and while you clearly had some of the local trolls in mind none of them thanked you for giving them the attention they are so desperate to get.
Watch for it real soon — the investigations of the banks that provided money for Trump, beyond all reason and sanity, will be found to have been flush with Russian oligarch money, and that will the the money that found its way into Trump’s pockets. Do you think Trump was Putin’s catspaw because he loved Putin? He loved Putin’s money. Remember his son’s declaration they always had all the money they wanted from the Russians? An open declaration of why they didn’t need banks? On live TV? “We don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.”https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/eric-trump-donald-golf-courses-russia-funding-golf-writer-interview-2014-james-dodson-a7722806.html, https://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-jr-said-money-pouring-in-from-russia-2018-2, https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/05/eric-trump-russia-investment-golf-course
‘GRT’, the Great Replacement Theory’, proves the need to teach ‘CRT’, the ‘Critical Race Theory’. But then the conservatives would need to learn something, and we all know they oppose knowledge.
I see our resident trolls are once again yet again embarrassing themselves in public. I have to admit that I replied directly to one of the damn things, which I usually don’t do, but what the hell: I’ve been on quick little vacation and this is actually the first day back even reading the toons let alone the comments!
If anyone thinks that this is what being a conservative or a MAGA is, then I am sorry for you. You all have had plenty of people on your side going over the edge. Yeah we have a few.
It’s one thing to attack Matt Gaetz and Elise Stefanik for racism — but Trump is the one who said it out loud
Critics of Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Elise Stefanik (R-NY) have claimed that their anti-immigration rhetoric has closely mirrored the racist conspiracy theory.
Speaking to MSNBC on Monday, former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) explained that these ideas may have been part of the beliefs nested in the Republican Party for decades, but it wasn’t until Donald Trump said it out loud that others became fearless in doing the same. The “quiet part” went from innuendo in caucus meetings or among the GOP members to public speeches and Fox News interviews.
“They’re not wearing hoods anymore.” According to a study published in Feb. 2022 by the journal Nature Human Behavior, Trump’s presidency ushered in a new era of overt racism. A person who supports him is more likely to hold racist views, the surveys concluded.
