The shortage can be traced back to a contamination problem at an Abbott factory that produces much of the Similac formula, as well as several other brands, for the US market, Abbott voluntarily shut down the factory in February, amid consumer complaints about contaminated formula that was linked to two infant deaths.

It has nothing to do with Biden or democrats like hysterical lying right wingers claim.

Don’t leave a baby in front of the tv all day long, bad for them.

Some formula companies are already working 24-7 to turn this shortage around. But it will take time before this shortage is eased. It’s easier to break things than fix them. Meanwhile, the President and Congress can only do so much to ease this shortage. In economic recoveries, demand almost always outpaces supply.

If you think this is bad, wait about a year, and see what Republican regressive policies bring us.

they claim that the temporary fixes for formula are bad and dangerous for the children. What did our mom’s do when we were babies? Used the formula recipe that is claimed to be dangerous. I’m still here to talk about it

Abbott has a corporate culture of doing everything the cheapest way. The welfare of the customer is way down their actual list of priorities. Check out how many Abbot facilities have been shut down by the FDA. Voluntary means the lawyers on both sides worked out a compromise to reduce the fine and bad publicity.

Perhaps we should lift the ban on EU formula, it might be better for the babies since they can’t use high fructose corn syrup. Goodness knows the tykes have plenty of time to ingest that stuff. Why introduce it to them early? In Mexico, the Coca Cola and Fanta beverages are still made with sugar instead of corn syrup. Which is why so many seek out these beverages.
