The postman isn’t upset because he knows you’re really a lover and not a biter.

I’ve been on curbside delivery a long time (three decades, three States, six houses) and haven’t a clue who any of the USPS employees were/are.

Bella barks like crazy any time someone tried to come in the gate; once they are introduced and she is told they are “Okay”, she’s fine … for that visit. The next time they come, it starts all over again.

Shadow loved the mail carrier who would call his name when he came to our house. He would run to the truck for a treat. If I was walking him and he saw a mail truck he would quicken his pace. I would have to tell him, "That’s not Charlie. "

I don’t think I’ve ever seen or noticed a postal carrier in the UK, despite visiting twice. Is it still the “Royal Mail”, and is this an example of the uniform?

I know my letter carrier, and his major stand-in. No biting here!

My mixed breed dog and the (motorized) mail carrier have near daily races for the length of our yard. The mail carrier stops at one end of the yard and waits for the pup to reach the starting line, then they both take off. The dog’s acceleration is superior, and he usually wins. It’s good fun for both of them.
