I remember some involved with the NHL that said suspensions for injuring a player should last as long as the player is out with the injury.

If the NBA had this rule, they’d have had to draw and quarter zaza pachulia for all the damage he’s done over the years

If they used the “suspension lasts as long as the other player stays out, it would be abused. Easy enough to imagine. Low paid, low skills player whose job is to injure a star player. Low skills player and crooked doctor whose job is to BE injured, and not get well.”

Suh would never survive a full season.
