Here in Pennsylvania all the Repugs who are running for anything are fighting over who sucked up to Trump the most . . . like that’s something to be proud of. I laugh, and laugh, and then I cry, ’cause one of them is going to win.

It isn’t just Trump, but what he represents. White Supremacy, Evangelical Christians, racists of any stripe, the gun club, the White Sheets, all of them flock to his banner.

My perfect candidate would always put the American people first. It seems that most put themselves and the resulting power first. Sad but true.

Warring Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert had to be separated at GOP conference

According to the report, “Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert look from the outside like MAGA twins, both loathed by Democrats for their incendiary right-wing rhetoric. But inside the House GOP, they’re not quite buddy-buddy.”

The report notes that Boebert fits in more with the thinking of her Republican colleagues (“a team player”) and she joined many of them in being furious with Greene over her appearance at a white nationalist conference well months ago.

“Their confrontation grew so heated that at least one onlooker feared the Greene-Boebert back-and-forth might escalate beyond the verbal cage match had another board member not stepped in to de-escalate, according to a GOP lawmaker who was granted anonymity to describe what happened,” Politico reports.

Donald Trump Jr lashes out at Ted Cruz-backed candidate in Ohio

“Mandel, acknowledged to Republicans in Washington that he was parroting absurd rhetoric in the primary campaign out of a desire to court Trump and his supporters — but that was simply what he believed it would take to win,” the two reported. “In fact even as he publicly mimicked Trump’s incendiary rhetoric, Mandel would privately reach out to McConnell’s top lieutenants to alert them each time one of his top rivals, J.D. Vance, criticized Washington Republicans — effectively trying to have it both ways with Trump and the GOP leaders he derided.”

Trump, Jr. posted a screengrab of the quotes and said Mandel was “outed as the establishment RINO fraud he truly is.”

As a matter of objective reality, Donald Trump is not only a career financial criminal, and not only a rapist, he is a traitor to the United States of America. Any politician with the least semblance of a conscience and the least semblance of patriotism would not only refuse his endorsement, he would advocate his imprisonment !

One can only hope the pandemic killed off enough rabid republican voters, that plus Trump’s endorsement while on trial for seditious conspiracy………..might just make it an interesting midterm election. Throw in voter suppression, and election subversion so that any result (other than a republican victory) will be invalidated, and things get really weird.

My local newspaper ran an editorial by a conservative, Byron York. It was headlined " Will the Dems Make the Election About Trump ". I didn’t read what he said because I thought it might permanently damage my brain to be any more confused. Qpubs are literally hissing and spitting at each other on who is more tRumpy. Dems just have to play a GQP debate to make that case.
