Russia is not Cuba. But yeah, sanctions aren’t great.

That’s Puerto Rico’s flag in there. Rather insulting, really.

One important difference is that only the USA sanctions Cuba, the rest of the world couldn’t care less.

Another way to look at this is countries who are aided and supported by communist and or Nazi countries are calling the shots via the sanctioned Cuba, etc. it’s the only way to cripple an aggressive country with ulterior motives….

So the alternative is to stop sanctions and allow the enemies to produce weapons, missiles etc to attack us….Cuba is a stones throw from our Mainland….

The Presidents job is to serve and protect the citizens of the United States…. So wars don’t happen in our country, so unless anyone can come up with a better fix, write DC with your brilliant ideas….

As far as the Muslim countries, most terrorist are are brought up from the time they can talk to kill the infidels….research it….maybe you’ll understand it better…..not all Muslims are terrorist, and not all terrorists are Muslim.

At this day and age, we should be influencing Cuba, not sanctioning them. Let them become exposed to our culture.

If you have a better idea, Ted, please enlighten us. President Biden is doing the best he can with what he has to work with.

Those sanctions are really working great, aren’t they! That’ll teach the Europeans. And the American people. But oil companies love it.

Well, Cuba may have great weather, but things aren’t great there under US sanctions. Plus, other countries do deal with Cuba, but the sanctions on Russia are much more widespread.

Sanctions and such simply impediments to communication in a case like Cuba.

I think Putin may finally be shtupped.

There’s even a propaganda clip circulating that shows both Gerasimov and Shoigu giving somebody further up the table very displeased looks. No sugar on those looks at all.

And McCutcheon and Paxton just wrote “We are all Ukrainians now” that, as per usual with those two, has immense emotional power.

Especially with the film-over tracking the words: buildings disintegrating; a father sitting next to his military kit with his head in his hands, weeping uncontrollably after seeing his family off on a convoy; Bundeswehr armorers packing hardware on a train; etc. (I was in tears before the song was halfway done, sung by all the usual suspects)

And, last but by no means least, the Ukrainian Ortho Church has been reinstantiated as an independent episcopate, no longer subject to Moscow after 300 years.

Local congregations in Ukraina are deciding whether to abandon the Moscow episcopate in favor of the NIB Ukrainian Ortho episcopate headquartered in Constantinople (they refuse to call it Istanbul).

A clip showed voting going on in a village church while a priest representing Moscow was prevented from going in to harangue the people. And the parishoners keeping him out were not being polite about it, either: “No you cannot enter, people are voting. You can go in after it’s all over, if you still want to.”

Oh, and apropos keeping out the guy from Moscow, an older babushka got up in his face and told him with some heat “_We_ are the Kievan Rus! Moscow should again be subject to us, not we to Moscow!”
