Concern for others is an adult concept. And as we know, aging is mandatory, but growing up is optional. Sadly.

The mask shown is a surgical mask shown to be effective in protecting patients for over a hundred years. I wear the other kind that protects me. Maybe I’m selfish. By the way, most masks I see on the ground seem to be due to carelessness and are unintentionally dropped, not an "oh I’m through with this’ kind of thing like cigarette butts.

Do you suppose President Trump was really thinking of “concern for others” when he returned from his hospital stay, paraded from the helicopter, mounted those steps, and practically tore off his mask? Then entered the White House to a roomful of unmasked assistants? More likely: “Geez, how am I going to spin THIS one? Sheet, why worry — those MAGAS will fall for ANYTHING!”

As of April 24, per the NYTimes, cases in the US were up 52 percent over the last 14 days, my Wife and I continue to wear the N95 masks if we are around anyone except our son who tests himself first before we see him. Now the term of “maskaholics” is being applied to us, oh well, never mind, some people just gotta call names even after adolescence.

Ignore Squiggles and the rest of the Flu Klux Klan. It’s got a GED (how? We’ll never know) but it’s been duped by “sitting on the crapper, checking FB” “researchers” into thinking it knows better than the JAMA, John’s Hopkins, the Mayo Clinic, doctors heading up departments of immunology, virology, public health, and infectious diseases, and many others, all of whom have spend at least a decade studying in their specific fields. And all the while Squiggles still cannot manage to fathom the complex world of fractions, decimals, and what “percents” mean.

So don’t reply to it. Don’t even bother reading it’s BS. Just let it swirl counterclockwise as it’s being flushed down the toilet bowl of its life.

I just tell anybody who remarks about my mask that I am “at risk”. That usually shuts down any argument.

@Brockie- I’m not fooled by the no mask mandate, either! This is a highly potent virus that still has its hooks in us! Until they say that it’s completely gone, I’m still keeping mine on!

If anyone gives me grief for wearing a mask, I tell them I currently have COVID and I’m trying to keep you from getting it.

I am going to be in a car with my unvaccinated daughter and son in law for six hours…they’ve both had covid, and their 90 days are up. I’m wearing my n95 mask the whole time.

Lack of civility/concern in trying to suppress a highly contagious respiratory virus is just part and parcel of the culture now known as the Coup Klux Klan. It fits in neatly with all of their other concerns, political, economic, sociologically.

Concern for others? What a concept! Some people should actually try it at least once.

Once upon a time there was a pandemic but then we all wished it away and then we all lived maskless ever after.

The good thing might be, those that are buying into conspiracies around Covid, are really starting to believe the hospital ‘protocols’ are being used to try to kill them. So, many are now refusing to go to the hospital and are dying at home. Win, win. More ICU beds for those that really need them. Fewer families abusing and blaming hospitals that are not trying to kill them, but save their lives, and less people that are not mentally competent to vote voting.
