I can’t stand long red lights, either.

A friend’s uncle lived in Virginia on the western side of the Appalachian Mountains and worked in Washington D.C.. He commuted everyday. The office building had a helipad and he was the only one who used it. Half hour commute each way. Home for dinner with the wife and kids every night.

I wonder if this would actually work with a paraglider. Slingshot for altitude, then glide in. (I’m not volunteering to test it out, mind you.)

I had three years where I commuted over the St. John’s River on a bridge that was being replaced. The traffic was abysmal. I would dream about owning an Amphicar and skipping the bridge entirely.
