I guess stormtroopers aren’t hired for their brains. If I were him, I’d have been sure to clarify exactly how much the pay is. But it still might not have helped. In this universe, they probably use the Force (or do they call it the Farce?) to make the workers believe they’re well-paid:
“You’re happy with minimum wage, and will never ask for a raise.”
“I’m happy with minimum wage, and will never ask for a raise . . . "
