Y’know, Elly—with your back turned, April could slip in the tub and drown. (“I just turned my back for a minute!!”)

Soft and squishy, sight unseen….

My mom said she found squashed worms in my pockets. :P. Luckily, my kids did not do the same. LOL

I used to collect spark plugs from the alley behind the car repair shop.

I saw the funniest thing on that TV show years ago- America’s Funniest Home Videos- a very young girl emptying several frogs from her underpants! Anybody remember that?

If adults squatted like April a few times every day, they’d be a lot more limber with healthier backs and legs.

I once washed and dried a pocketful of worms. Took me a minute to figure out just what those dry crumbly things were….Oh the glories of momhood!

Ellie has gone through two other children in the toddler phase; she should be used to anything in pockets by now. And she should be glad April is now putting things in her pockets not her mouth!

My wife used to check the pockets of our kids until she found a handful of worms in my son’s pocket.

April, the future vet, loved creatures from the very beginning, I guess!

For all of those constantly criticizing April’s lack of being supervised, there are billions of children throughout history who survived without being micro-supervised by helicopter parents 24 hours a day.

My Mom, usually shook my trousers out on the porch.

A young kids pocket can be such a treasure of collection.

Until the last panel I thought April’s mom planted those Items to lure April into the tub.

At least she didn’t put them in her mouth.
