Ok this is too much. I know this is a team that used to be called “Chez Linda” and the “Doormats”, but basement dwellers? Not one person looked at that name and went “hmm this might be a bad idea”?

then again, it’s a comic. can’t be too mad. Though nate’s opposition will have the greatest time of their lives making up jokes.

So, cellar dwellers is slang for a last place team. Why give your team that name? Could motivate the team to win and overcome the name. Can you imagine the heckling from the other teams. But, it sets up opportunities to reverse that with, “Hey, you just got beat by the Cellar Dwellers”, how bad are you?Nate’s reaction to it was over the top ridiculous. It’s better than the little lulus.

Some would think “cellar dwellers” are creatures to fear, or at least be wary of… because who knows WHAT dwells in cellars!
