A star is born 21st Century Ed. Somewhere in the city a publicist places a call. (Man 1: Get me Tom at The Post) Within minutes a typical chain of events unfolds... (Man 2: This just in: The new diva "Karina" -just Karina- has signed a $28 million deal for a TV show, book and CD-Rom.) ...And a star is born! (Man 3: So are you psyched about the new move?) (Woman: Of course the money is nice, ahmed, but I'm doing this for all the thin blond girls out there who can't!) The honeymoon is short, and soon a backlash brews. (Woman 2: I thought Karina was cool, but then she started dating that guy from "Star Trek" voyager! She's a &*@ tool!) The former star hits bottom, and plans her comeback. (Man 4: Look! That homeless crone looks just like Karina!) And within seconds the cycle begins anew! (Man 3: You knew going into it lasts is minutes!) (Woman 1: of course- but I only got 6 minutes my first time around.)
