Who will be around to save us when there are no more phone booths?

Funny! As a kid, watching Superman on television, I always wondered what happened to Clark Kent’s clothes?

What happened if someone was using the telephone booth when Superman returned?

If someone found the pile of clothes and his shoes, didn’t they go through his pockets looking for i.d.?

How come he was always able to find an empty phone booth?

One of the biggest questions I had was if he was Superman, why did his alter-ego drive a 1952 Nash Healy Convertible?

There was a Superboy story in which a tramp found Clark Kent’s “discarded” clothes and, since he (the tramp) came by them legitimately, Superboy had to trick him into discarding each item again so that he (Superboy) could secretly reclaim them. I wish there were cheap online reprints of the Superboy comics from that era (1961-62?)!

Anyone ever try to change clothes in a telephone booth? There’s even more proof that Superman was a super man.

Actually it was right after this incident that he gave up on phone booths.
