Trump has gone over the edge, heaping praise on a Russian dictator embarking on a war of aggression.

I am old enough to remember watching film of Russian tanks in the streets of Budapest. My mother’s mom was born in Budapest and was brought here when she was four years old. My grandma was from a large family and they had the where-with-all to host a refugee from the fighting. He told a harrowing story of tossing a molotov cocktail at a Russian tank. The family being largely first generation immigrants were appalled by the invasion of their former homeland. Being only nine at the time, I have no way to recount the mood of the nation as a whole but I’m pretty sure there was a huge majority of Americans that felt the same way my Hungarian relatives did. Contrast that with today when there is a big faction of of Americans that support Russian aggression and have no idea how dangerous a war in Europe is to our own peace and stability.https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/soviets-put-brutal-end-to-hungarian-revolution

I’m sure Vlad is so happy to have the full support of Rump, his RNC/GQP and Faux Propaganda Tv. He appreciates true friendship.

Let’s see if we can “parse” this correctly.

Putin has decided that the worst act of the 20th century was the disassembly of the Soviet Empire – not the deaths of millions of his fellow country under Stalin and not the millions who died under Hitler, but the dissolution of the Soviet Hegemony under Gorbachev.

Now, understand this, most of the former nations under the thumb of the Soviets are now a part of N.A.T.O and want nothing to do with Russia – in 1991 Ukraine voted overwhelmingly (by 92%) to separate itself from Russia, but Putin STILL wants to retake an independent democracy that voted overwhelmingly to leave Russia.

Putin, in his monomaniacal pursuit of past glory, refuses to let the past go, and, even as we speak, is trying to piece back together the old Soviet Empire, and “to hell” with what “the people” want – the only important thing is what Putin wants!

And portions of the American political party once known as the “republican” party are actively cheering him on, including the titular head of the party, Donnie John, who has praised Putin’s moves that will results in hundreds of thousands of human deaths as an act of “genius”.

What is the chance that as days go by, and invasion events transpire, the vast majority of current MAGA loyalists decides it is dangerous to the US to support Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and likely ensuing Russian aggression elsewhere in Europe.

Hell, for all anyone can predict right now, US MAGA loyalists may even soon reason that this invasion of Ukraine by another country is just plain flat out WRONG, even if Donald J. Trump has intense loyalty to Vladimir Putin and other strongman world leaders opposed to democratic government.

This would put FOX (and every other RWNJ supporter of Putin, whether only online or also on-air, in a tight spot.

What would it do to FOX advertisers? Maybe they would decide it is decidedly in their best interest to pull all advertising from FOX and the rest of Murdoch media?

Please, please please PLEASE let this happen.

Question: did Donald J Trump decide all on his own to be a Vlad Putin supporter? Isn’t it at least as likely that Rupert Murdoch supports Putin, did so before Trump won the Republican nomination, and then instructed Hannity to coach Trump to support Putin during all those evening phone conversations between the two following Trump’s election victory?

Murdoch allows Carlson and other employees to visit with Orban in Hungary and provide on-air support for him, and for other anti-democracy autocrat would-be dictators.

Is Rupert Murdoch opposed to our American democratic republic form of government? Is he a traitor who hopes to overthrow our current form of government and replace it with a RWNJ dictatorship?

Actually, Ukraine isn’t simply rolling over to die as the Russian army attacks — they are fighting back, and surprisingly well.
