It’s still going to snow here this week. Calendars mean nothing, and we have winter drift – it supposedly starts later here now, but not this winter, and hangs on longer, which seems to be the case so far. I want to wear sandals. I want to just put on my sandals and grab the leash to take my dog out. Maybe some sunglasses. Not the hat, scarf, gloves, heavy coat, boots. It takes a long time to get it all on for a quick walk around the icy block with my dog.
March comes in like a wombat and goes out like an aardvark. Always ambiguous and often unremarkable, as are the goings of these two creatures. I never have observed a discernible lion-to-lamb like progression to the month. Somehow my aphorism has never caught on, though.
