I get a quarter allowance each week. Do you know what I do? I watch my younger siblings, take out the trash, help feed the pets, clean up my and some of my younger sibling’s room, wash the clothes, and cook a lot. Though I do have 11 siblings. My parents would be broke if we (Minus the little kids) all got a 5-dollar allowance. That would be -$30 each week, witch adds up to -$1,560 a year!
My parents never did formal allowances for me and my sister – it was easier to send some occasional cash our way as we handled different chores, depending on what they could spare.
