Poor Lions. I feel sorry for them sometimes. Unless they’re playing my team. Then all bets are off.

Their former q.b., Matt Stafford, no sooner left the lions and was immediately in the Superbowl. I’m sure he was glad to be free from Detroit.

Tom Brady’s daughter has touched the Lombardi more times than the Detroit Lions have won playoff games in 65 years. (She’s 8)

March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a mud caked lion. Otherwise known as ‘wet sock weather’. (hole in my shoe)

A friend pointed out to me, March 4th is the only day of the year that tells you to do something!

Sadly (age wise) I was at that game way back when. They actually played good football then. But there were only a handful of teams too. Saw some legends of the game as a young man.

Interesting. Lots of comments on the football aspect of this strip, non on the idiocy of the dad. Guess that’s because in this strip, that’s usually a given.

In the last 65 years, the Lions have shown a few flashes of mediocrity.

I briefly worked for Detroit Edison and during our tour of their very fancy corporate headquarters the guide explained that some of the Detroit Lions had just been there. I instantly earned points when I said it was too bad they couldn’t find any professional sports players.
