Our local schoolboard meeting was visited by a rabble of loudmouths (i wonder how many were actually parents?) who came to protest- amongst other things- mask, quarantine, & vaccination guidelines. Fortunately, they were far outnumbered by the parents who supported the board’s guidelines.

We must pay very close attention to what certain lunatics & conspiracy mongers are up to and do our part to be sure that they do not disrupt the sensible conduct of our schools & educational systems by their bullying tactics & physical threats. When local board elections come up, pay heed and bother to find out what the candidates say they stand for… we cannot risk our children’s education & safety being undermined by a handful of nutjobs.

Omicron Deaths in U.S. Exceed Delta’s Peak

In the U.S., the seven-day average for newly reported Covid-19 deaths reached 2,258 a day on Tuesday, up about 1,000 from daily death counts two months ago, data from Johns Hopkins University show. That is the highest since February 2021 as the country was emerging from the worst of last winter’s wave.

While there is a large body of evidence suggesting that Omicron is less likely to kill the people it infects, it spreads much more quickly and therefore infects many more people than earlier variants, epidemiologists say. Case counts in the U.S. have dwarfed previous records.

Omicron is no joke. I’m still recovering from it. I can count the number of times I’ve felt this sick on one hand. I never made it to my booster (it’s rescheduled to next month).

Kids have always had to cope with who/what-ever their parents are. Most of the time, that’s reasonably benign. And most are reasonably benign right now too. It’s just that when the UNbenign parents get to influence what happens to ALL the kids, the wheels come off. And the unbenign parents are working to do that as hard as they can. Probably in total denial of reality.

The roles have been reversed. Today’s kids are more mature than yesterdays parents.

Tonight on Tucker Carlson’s train wreck, lunatic anti-vaxxer and former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson tells Tuck’s audience not to get boosted and that mRNA vaccines need to be pulled from the market.

Way to go, (vaxxed and boosted) Tuck! Keep killing your audience!

‘NCIS’ Actor Who Decried Vaccine Dies of COVID Complications

Vachik Mangassarian, a veteran character actor known for his roles on NCIS, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has died at the age of 78 from COVID-19 complications. Representatives for Mangassarian confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he passed away in Burbank, California.

The Iran-born Armenian star moved to the U.S. at age 23 and landed his first Hollywood role in 1978. In the decades since, he held a slew of roles, starring as the architect Qasim Zaghlul in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and guest starring on Curb Your Enthusiasm. More recently, he appeared on NCIS: Los Angeles.

In the months before his death, Mangassarian had frequently expressed his opposition to COVID-19 vaccines and veered into truther territory, posting memes to Facebook that suggested the pandemic was part of a grand conspiracy.

In one post from September 2021, the actor posted a photo of a parody news report saying that “millions test positive for Sheeple 19.”

The new R governor of Virginia Glenn Youngkin has started a web site for parents to report on teachers who do not support his stands, a snitch site, and has opposed mask mandates by local school systems. I hope the people of Virginia are happy with what they have elected (mostly on the basis of opposition to teaching CRT in elementary and high school, like that ever happens).
