My daughter loved going to Mother Daughter Work Day. She got a day off school, and of course I couldn’t take her on my home calls, so we took it kind of easy. I would give her money for the vending machine, then we would go out to lunch. In between she mostly watched me do some paperwork and talk on the phone. She knew some of my co-workers, so she spent some time with them, too. She must have really thought I had an easy job – I didn’t, except one day a year. We still talk sometimes about how much she enjoyed it.
